Self-similar cosmological solutions with a non-minimally coupled scalar field
Scalar fields have come to play a dominant role in recent years in theoretical models of the universe. This has usually been in the context of inflationary models of the very early universe where the self interaction potential energy density V (φ) remains undiluted by the cosmological expansion. If the potential is sufficiently flat this can lead to an effective cosmological constant which can ...
متن کاملDilaton Gravity with a Non-minimally Coupled Scalar Field
We discuss the two-dimensional dilaton gravity with a scalar field as the source matter. The coupling between the gravity and the scalar, massless, field is presented in an unusual form. We work out two examples of these couplings, and solutions with black-hole behaviour are discussed and compared with those found in the literature.
متن کاملCosmological scaling solutions of non-minimally coupled scalar fields
On one hand recent cosmological observations, and particuarly the Hubble diagram for Type Ia supernovae [1] have led to the idea that the universe may be dominated by a component with negative pressure [2] and thus that today the universe is accelerating. Such a component can also, if one sticks to the prediction of inflation that Ω = 1, account for the “missing energy”. Yet, many candidates ha...
متن کاملCosmological model with non-minimally coupled fermionic field
A model for the Universe is proposed whose constituents are: (a) a dark energy field modeled by a fermionic field non-minimally coupled with the gravitational field, (b) a matter field which consists of pressureless baryonic and dark matter fields and (c) a field which represents the radiation and the neutrinos. The coupled system of Dirac’s equations and Einstein field equations is solved nume...
متن کاملAnisotropic cosmological models with non-minimally coupled magnetic field
Motivated by the structure of one-loop vacuum polarization effects in curved spacetime we discuss a non-minimal extension of the EinsteinMaxwell equations. This formalism is applied to Bianchi I models with magnetic field. We obtain several exact solutions of the non-minimal system including those which describe an isotropization process. We show that there are inflationary solutions in which t...
